About Us

My first game came at 7 years old, in 2011 at home to Fulham, where a 2-1 win made me fall in love with the cathedral on the hill that is St James' Park. I had spent my early years begging my Dad to take me to a game and when the time came about I couldn't have been more up for it. I sat in my Dad's friends' box and watched Leon Best score a brace to win the Toon army the game and I went home with a huge grin on my face. Little did I know I'd go on to see relegation, Steve McLaren, Steve Bruce and some absolutely horrible performances, but that's a story for another day.

Now, I have been to over 200 Newcastle United games following us up and down the country with some seriously long journeys home. From driving 7 hours back from Brighton to the short 20 minute trip over the road to S*nderland I, like many,  have spent my weekends watching Newcastle United for quite a few years now. Pre takeover it was almost guaranteed we'd lose but thousands of us have made the commitment to Newcastle and travelled thousands of miles to see us play. Some of my fondest memories, admittedly,  have been more recently where I travelled to Milan, Italy to see us play at the San Siro in the Champions League. An absolutely surreal experience, standing on the canal in twenty degree heat before getting the metro to the ground and hearing that Champions League anthem. However pre takeover trips to places like Watford will always still stick with me, as it was about the day out with your mates seeing your team play, win, lose or draw. Another recent away day that has to be up there is obviously the derby in the FA cup beating them lot 3-0 in their own back yard. Despite the enormous difference in quality these days it was still just as sweet to finally get one over them again. Then, we rewind just a few months earlier to the 3-0 away at Old Trafford beating the other lot as home fans poured out with ten minutes still to play. With Miguel Almiron putting us 1-0 up there was always the feeling every Newcastle fan has, that we would end up losing. But up stepped18 year old local lad Lewis Hall to put us 2 up before half time. Then in the second half seeing Willock coming back and scoring in front of 8000 geordies going mental can only be described as perfection.

In terms of home games, St James' Park has always been a fortress so there has always been some possibility of a result even before the takeover despite some of the teams we've had to watch us put out. Some of my fondest memories at home stretch all the way back to the championship, with us beating Burton at home and then hearing Brighton failed to win so we were crowned champions. Fast forward to 2023 where I watched our Newcastle United win 4-1 at home in the Champions League with stars like Kylian Mbappe stood, hands on hips, on the half way line waiting to take kick off as we celebrated. From Almiron opening the scoring to Schar rounding off the night with a screamer, the atmosphere and the night was the best experience I've ever had watching Newcastle. Honourable mentions go to games like Leicester 0-0 when we qualified for Champions League, 1-0 at home to Chelsea when Isaac Hayden scored and 2-1 at home to Man City under Rafa Benitez when Ritchie and Rondon finally got us three points off them.
